A wipe's efficacy depends on three things working together: the active system (the biocide), the saturation level (enough liquid to keep the surface wet for the required contact time), and the substrate (which must hold and release the active evenly). A wipe that dries out, under-saturates, or uses an incompatible substrate will not deliver its claimed efficacy regardless of the active. We specify all three to the claim — with EN 1276 / EN 14476 efficacy framing and a stated contact time — so the wipe performs as labelled.
Because a wipe's performance depends on staying wet, pack integrity is part of the specification, not an afterthought. A reliable reseal lid, a sound foil seal and compatible packaging keep the wipes saturated to the end of the pack. For alcohol-based wipes, the same flammability and dangerous-goods considerations as liquid alcohol products apply — an alcohol-free system avoids that freight classification.
