N95 Respirator Mask

N95 and FFP2 respirators are filtering facepiece devices that protect the wearer from airborne particles — a fundamentally different product from a surgical or face mask. This page covers the respirator standards (EN 149 and NIOSH), filtration class and certification a buyer must verify to make a valid respiratory-protection claim.

We supply respirators meeting EN 149 FFP2 and/or NIOSH N95 at 95%+ particle filtration efficiency, CE-marked and ISO 13485 sourced. Available in bulk and under private label in fold-flat and cup-shape designs, with and without exhalation valve.

FFP2 vs N95 vs Surgical Mask: The Standard That Defines the Claim

Buyers lose money and fail tenders by conflating these. An FFP2 (European, EN 149) and an N95 (US, NIOSH) are broadly equivalent filtering facepiece respirators that protect the wearer from airborne particles, verified by particle-filtration and fit. A surgical mask (EN 14683) protects the environment from the wearer and is not a respirator. You cannot sell a surgical mask as an FFP2/N95 or vice versa. We supply respirators certified to the respirator standards, and confirm the exact class on every quotation so your registration and tender wording is accurate.

Why the Seal Matters as Much as the Filter

A respirator only delivers its rated protection if it seals to the face. That is why design (fold-flat vs cup), adjustable straps, a conforming nose foam and a moulded edge matter as much as the filter media. For buyers serving workplaces with fit-testing requirements, we can advise on designs that perform across a range of face shapes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an FFP2 the same as an N95?

They are broadly equivalent filtering facepiece respirators certified to different regional standards (EN 149 vs NIOSH), both filtering 94–95%+ of particles.

Can a respirator be sold as a surgical mask?

No — they meet different standards and protect in opposite directions. A respirator protects the wearer; a surgical mask protects the environment.

What is the minimum order?

20,000 pieces, in fold-flat or cup designs, valved or unvalved.
