Disposable protective coveralls provide full-body barrier protection across medical, industrial and biohazard settings, classified by a protection-type system distinct from gowns. This page explains the coverall Type 5/6 classification and the PPE certification a buyer must verify.
We supply microporous disposable coveralls with taped seams at Type 5/6 protection, certified as CE Category III PPE. Available in bulk and under private label, with the certified type documented on every shipment.
| Specification | Standard / option | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Protection type | Type 5 (particles) / Type 6 (light spray) | Defines the hazard protected against |
| Fabric | Microporous / SMS, configurable GSM | Barrier vs breathability balance |
| Seams | Stitched or taped | Taped seams raise the barrier integrity |
| Certification | CE Category III PPE | Highest PPE risk category |
| HS heading | 6210.10 | Garments of non-woven fabric |
Coveralls follow a PPE protection-type system (Types 1–6) rather than the AAMI gown levels. The two most-sourced are Type 5 (protection against airborne solid particulates) and Type 6 (limited protection against light liquid spray). Seam construction matters as much as fabric: taped seams close the gaps that stitched seams leave, raising overall integrity. As Category III PPE — the highest risk category — certified coveralls require third-party conformity assessment, which we document on every shipment. Specify the type and seam construction your hazard requires.
A gown protects the front of the body for clinical care; a coverall protects the whole body, including back and legs, for higher-exposure or industrial tasks. Buyers protecting against particulates, sprays or biohazards across the full body need coveralls; routine clinical care needs gowns. Both are available from one supplier.
Minimums start at 5,000 pieces. Own-brand packaging and the certified PPE type are documented per order.
Type 5 protects against airborne solid particulates; Type 6 against light liquid spray. We supply both with taped seams and CE Category III certification.
Taped seams seal the needle holes that stitched seams leave, raising the coverall's barrier integrity — important for particulate and spray protection.
5,000 pieces, in configurable fabric weights and sizes.
